The Bhutan Foundation serves as a bridge between donors and Bhutanese organizations. Functioning much like a community foundation, we channel philanthropic support to local civil society organizations in Bhutan. Our local partners bring deep knowledge of community needs and lead projects that are grounded, practical, and culturally responsive. The Foundation supports this work through careful grantmaking, due diligence, financial oversight, reporting requirements, and regular audits—ensuring that funds are managed with transparency and accountability. Together, we advance Bhutanese-led solutions across health, education, environment, culture, good governance, sustainable livelihoods, and community development.
