Our team is in Chennai, India this week!

A group of nine Bhutanese involved in Special Education are currently on an exposure trip in Chennai, India, with the Bhutan Foundation and Perkins International to learn about services and opportunities available for children with special needs! The goal of this exposure trip is to help expand the perspectives of key decision makers in the lives of Bhutanese children with complex disabilities of possible services and outcomes of service provision.

Two of the parents from PHENSEM, a parent support group in Bhutan, went on to reflect that, “We are really inspired by HLC’s thoughts of having a common goal/vision of inclusion and having the heart to help not just their school children but to go beyond.
