Today the first National Policy of Persons with Disabilities in Bhutan is launched.

In line with the year’s theme of “Promoting the participation of persons with disabilities and their leadership”, we’ve joined an eventful morning organized by Selwa and other relevant stakeholders to launch the first National Policy of Persons with Disabilities in Bhutan! This National Policy emphasizes a rights-based approach and aims to empower all persons with disabilities.

Our support for individuals with disabilities in Bhutan started ten years ago and we continue to work with the Ministry of Education, civil society organizations, and parents to build capacity and create awareness on disabilities in Bhutan.
