Check out the latest in our #PartnerInFocus series where we feature Chuniding Food in Thimphu!
With its mission to preserve and promote the Bhutanese food culture, Chunding Food is a family-owned enterprise located in the capital city, Thimphu, with about a decade’s experience in the food and hospitality sector. Established in 2015 as a social enterprise, Chuniding Food is one of the few established and known processors of fruits and vegetables in Bhutan. Even more importantly, Chuniding incorporates all principles of the Royal Government of Bhutan’s policy to substitute imports, increase export, use local products and generate employment.
The Bhutan Foundation is working with Chuniding to scale up their production facility to help support local farmers and prevent surplus produce from going to waste. Watch the video to learn more about Chunding’s work! You can also find more information about them on their website.
This program was made possible with the generous support of the American people through the USAID – US Agency for International Development in partnership with the Bhutan Foundation.
