As people around the world celebrate International Snow Leopard Day today, the children from one of the best snow leopard areas in Bhutan, the Jomolhari region in Jigme Dorji National Park, celebrate the completion of their new school. Drawn to this area particularly for its snow leopards, the Bhutan Foundation is working with the authorities and the communities to support snow leopard conservation. We at the Bhutan Foundation are pleased to hand over the Jomolhari School, School Among Snow Leopards, to the Jomolhari community. The children now have a warmer, brighter school, well-insulated from the draft and cold.
