Yesterday, the Bhutan Foundation donated a 10-seater Toyota minibus to our partners at the Bhutan Tiger Center (BTC). This bus will provide a safe, comfortable, and convenient journey for the children of families working at the BTC from their new headquarters based in Mathanguri in Manas, Panbang. Both seasonal monsoon rain and the ever-present danger of animal attacks made parents wary of accepting posts at the new facility without the guarantee of safe transportation.
Today, the families and children are excited to have reliable and safe transport for their next academic session! This project is a part of our efforts to support education and tiger conservation research in Bhutan.
At the ceremony, the bus was handed over to the Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests in the presence of the Director of the Department of Forests and Park Services. We would like to thank all the donors and supporters for making this possible and we look forward to your continued support.
