The Bhutan Foundation would like to congratulate Mr. Thinley Gyeltshen and Mr. Janga Bdr. Gaylal on completing their Bachelor’s degrees in Agriculture and Animal Science respectively from the College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan.

Mr. Gyeltshen and Mr. Gyalal are the first recipients of the Bhutan Foundation’s Bruce Bunting Scholarship, initiated in 2020 in honor of Dr. Bruce Bunting, the President Emeritus of the Foundation. The Scholarship program supports in-service Bhutanese candidates from governmental and non-governmental organizations to pursue their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at the College of Natural Resources, the Royal University of Bhutan. Environmental, climate science, agriculture, and natural resource management are the prioritized programs under the scholarship.

Currently, two students are studying at CNR, pursuing a BSc. in Agriculture and a BSc. in Animal Science under the Bruce Bunting Scholarship, and two more will join the college by the end of July 2022.
